Sailor Sam and the Two Sicknesses

In winter, the sea around Northern Europe can be very rough. Sailor Sam is seasick and like all cats, he is not a good patient. The crew try all kinds of tricks to get him to take a tablet but Sam outwits them every time. The Captain misunderstands Sam's illness and when Sam overhears his plans, he takes drastic action to cure himself. Then, a chance meeting in Dublin brings about an all together different kind of sickness. What can it be and can Sailor Sam be cured?

Review

Sailor Sam isn’t you ordinary cat, nor is he your ordinary sailor. He is one of kind. His wits, strengths, fears, and weaknesses all come together to make this sailor cat an interesting character. Angela Cater has weaved a delightful tale that will entertain both kids and adults alike. She brings you on a unique journey that will leave you laughing at the end.

Bravo, Angela Cater, for creating not your run-of-mill, two-dimensional character. Sailor Sam is one in a million who will warm the readers’ hearts. Her spectacular illustrations make the story all that much more special. I give it 5 stars.
